RESULT – WON VIA 2nd RD SUBMISSION (ARM-TRIANGLE CHOKE)

Analysis
Rd 1 – Both fighters are in the orthodox stances. Blachowicz slowly takes the center. Krylov opens the fight with a couple of hard kicks! Blachowicz responds with a stiff jab. Both fighters are light on their feet. Krylov is exploding from all angles. He moves in with the right hand and level changes. Krylov takes the single leg and scores the takedown.1st min in Krylov is in the guard position. Blachowicz shoots for the armbar, Krylov defends. Blachowicz is threatening with the submission from the bottom. Krylov has a hard time posturing and landing some ground and pound. Krylov starts landing to the body of Blachowicz. Krylov tries to step into the full mount! Blachowicz scrambles but finds himself inside the guillotine choke! Blachowicz defends and takes the top position! Great move by Blachowicz Halfway in, Blachowicz is in the side control. He is putting strong pressure on Krylov. Krylov is trying to scramble back to his feet but Blachowicz keeps him down. The top game of Blachowicz is very good. Krylov scrambles and gets the half guard back. 1 min to go, Blachowicz has a hard time creating some space for the ground and pound. Krylov is looking frustrated on the bottom. This is exhausting for Krylov. He is wasting a lot of energy on the bottom. Blachowicz lands a couple of punches in the last `10 seconds of the round. 10-9 Blachowicz

Rd 2 – Blachowicz takes the center. Krylov opens the round with a front kick to the body. Blachowicz pushes forward and lands a leg kick. Krylov initiates the clinch but Blachowicz takes the body lock and drags him down to the mat! Great move by Blachowicz. He makes a transition and takes side control. 1st min in, Blachowicz is displaying great grappling skills. Krylov is controlling the posture from the bottom. Blachowicz is tiring Krylov out. Krylov is flattened on the bottom. Blachowicz moves to the north-south position. Krylov scrambles and Blachowicz is back into the side control position. Krylov is breathing heavily on the bottom. He is looking desperate. Blachowicz takes the back of Krylov! He shoots for the arm-triangle choke!!! It’s deep!!! Krylov taps out!!!

APRIL 2017 – VS PAT CUMMINS

RESULT – LOST VIA 3 RD MAJ DEC

Analysis
Rd 1 – Both fighters take the outside, looking to explode into the pocket. Blachowicz looking the more refined puncher. Uppercut then left hook drops Cummins. Blachowicz landing punches. Cummins able to scramble to hius feet, A short right from Cummins looks to drop an off balance Blachowicz. Cummins moves in, Blachowicz back to his feet. Cummins lands an elbow and Blachowicz a left body kick. Blachowicz uppercut landing. Cummins takedown attempt stuffed and Blachowicz landing good strikes. Cummins face looking swollen. Another Cummins takedown stuffed. Cummins absorbing damage as Blachowicz lands his uppercuts. They clinch 90 seconds to go. Cummins gets a trip takedown. Cummins controls doing decent damage. Blachowicz throws up a triangle attempt, he doesn’t get it but able to scramble to his feet. 10 – 9 Blachowicz.
Rd 2 – Blachowicz able to land with his hands. Cummins has landed the odd punch and has appeared to trouble Blachowicz at times. Cummins clinch but Blachowicz circles out. Blachowicz slowing down, Cummins powers through and gets the takedown. 90 seconds in. Blachowicz being active off his back. He moves for a kimura, Halfway. Cummins able to pop his arm out and land some good punches. Cummins unable to be consistent with his control and Blachowicz back to his feet. 90 seconds to go. Blachowicz dropping and getting the takedown. Cummins up immediately. 1 min to go. Both men looking exhausted. Blachowicz pushing forwards with uppercut and a head kick that Cummins eats. Blachowicz rests for a moment putting his hands on his knees. Blachowicz shoots for a takedown to end the round, stuffed. 10 – 9 Cummins.
Rd 3 – Blachowicz looking exhausted as they start. Cummins slowly pressures. He lands a quick flurry of straights as he instigates the clinch against the cage. Blachowicz circles out. Cummins avoid the uppercut, level changing and getting the takedown. Blachowicz no mug on the ground scrambling and almost sinks in an armbar. 2 mins in. Cummins controlling doing decent damage. Blachowicz able to create space via a failed armbar attempt. 2 mins to go and they’re back standing. Blachowicz firing his left kick landing 2 to the body of Cummins. They clinch, Cummins reverses and able to land a series of knees to the head of Blachowicz. Cummins gets the takedown. 1 min to go. Cummins controls inflicting minimal damage. 10 – 9 Cummins.

LF SEPTEMBER 2016 – VS ALEXANDER GUSTAFSSON

RESULT – LOST VIA 3 RD UN DEC

Analysis
Rd 1 – Both fighters exchange fast punches but Alex pushes forward and clinches to the cage briefly and lands some knees. They break but Alex takes it back there and lands small strikes until Jan breaks free. They clinch and Jan lands a knee and uppercut. Alex eats a punch and Jan presses with punches but gets too close and Alex takes him down with 1min 36 secs left and lands numerous punches and elbows to the head until the end of the round. 10-9 Alex.
Rd 2 – and Alex eats a right hand and returns fire. They both land punches on each other and Alex takes him down. In full guard, he lands short elbows and punches for the entire duration of the round. 10-8 Alex.
Rd 3 – and Jan looks for the takedown but no go. He eats a right hand and then a body kick. As Jan presses forward, Alex takes him down and goes to work with strikes from top position. He keeps those up for a while and ref stands them up with 1min 36secs left. Jan stries to aggressively press forward with strikes but Alex takes him back down easily and feeds him elbows and punches until the end of the fight. 10-9 Alex.

APRIL 2016 – VS IGOR POKRAJAC

RESULT – WON VIA 3 RD UN DEC

Analysis
Rd 1 – Strong body kick lands for JB. They exchange punches, both getting clocked. JB with the TD into guard. JB controlling doing decent damage. JB moving for the back but losing position. Pokrajac landing big elbows from top position. He transition’s to mount, doing decent damage. 10 -10.
Rd 2 – They exchange straights. JB lands his left body kick. Pokrajac closes distance to the cage. JB gets him off. They go to the cage again. This time JB reverse’s positions and drops for a double leg. Doesn’t get close to getting it. JB finds some spaces and starts throwing Pokrajac encourages it and starts throwing back, they both looked rocked, but a left hook definitely rocks Pokrajac and another from JB. Pokrajac stumbles back to the cage. Excellent work against the cage from JB, but Pokrajac responds with a stiff overhand right, whilst still standing against the cage, and JB is bleeding. JB shoots and gets the double. Minor work, and they’re back up. Pokrajac comes forward, JB covering up, before exploding into a double leg. JB controlling but Pokrajac scrambles back up. JB swings and misses. Both fighters looking tired. Pokrajac instigates the clinch and They exchanges knees against the cage. 10 -9 JB.
Rd 3 – They exchange punches. Both exhausted. JB closes distance looks for a TD against the cage. Doesn’t get it. JB swinging and missing with left hooks. Pokrajac explodes into a left hook, and JB responds with a power double. He controls position for the remainder of the round doing decent damage with elbows and hammer fists. 10 -9 JB.

SEPTEMBER 2015 – VS COREY ANDERSON

RESULT – LOST VIA 3 RD UD

Analysis
Rd 1 – Anderson light on his feet. Throwing a lot, good feints. JB checks a kick and able to avoid Anderson punches. Strong leg kick for JB. Left body kick misses for JB. JB seems to lose all balance whenever he throws a power left hook. Couple good punches lands for JB. Straight tight lands flush on Anderson. He continues with the left body kick but Anderson able to block or avoid. The fight foes to the cage, JB drops down for a double and gets Anderson down into side. Anderson able to scramble out and puts JB on the cage. They break. Anderson with the volume in his hands. Shoots for another double. He gets it. Minimal damage, JB defending well looking for an armbar doesn’t get it, but they’re back up. They exchange a few more straights to end the round. 10 – 9 JB.
Rd 2 – Anderson tags JB with an uppercut, and forces a double leg. And that’s where he stays for the remaining 4:30 of the round. Anderson did some good g&p in a totally dominant round. 10 -8 Anderson.
Rd 3 – JB tries to defend with submissions as Anderson shoots and gets another takedown. Anderson controls in half guard and side doing minimal damage. Anderson stands up, and JB doesn’t even think to try ang get up. Anderson re enters and keeps him there doing G&P. 10-8 Anderson. Anderson spent 9:43mins in top position.
