Analysis
Rd 1 – Both fighters are in the orthodox stance. Both fighters are patient. Moffet is putting pressure on Skelly. Skelly is missing with the punches. Nice straight right hand to the body lands for Moffet. Skelly throws a leg kick. Moffet catches the leg and lands a hard right hand! Skelly is back against the fence. Moffet explodes with a couple of nice punches! 1st min in, Skelly is busy with the jab to the body. Both fighters are swinging big punches and missing. Nice step in uppercut lands for Moffet! Skelly shoots for a takedown. Skelly is trying to take the back of Moffet. Skelly takes the back of Moffet! Skelly is looking for the rear-naked choke! Moffet defends the choke. Skelly once again trying to set up the rear-naked choke! Moffet is defending well. Moffet is showing great submission defense. Halfway in, Skelly is landing short punches with the left hand. Moffet is back on his feet. Skelly rides on the back of Moffet. Skelly is landing nice punches with his left hand. Moffet is fine. Moffet is trying to shake Skelly of his back. 1 min to go, Moffet is almost out. Skelly is not giving up his position. Moffet shakes Skelly of his back. Moffet is pushing forward with the punches. 10-9 Skelly.
Rd 2 – Moffet takes the center. Nice leg kick lands for Moffet. Skelly counters with a hard one-two combination! Skelly explodes with the punches but misses with the all of them. Skelly is missing a lot of punches. Moffet is showing great movement. 1st min in, Skelly lands a nice straight left hand. Moffet continues with the pressure. Moffet level changes and takes the double leg. Moffet scores a takedown. Moffet is working for a position. Moffet takes the half guard position. Moffet is looking to pass the guard. Skelly is doing a good job defending. Skelly uses the fence and reverses the position. Moffet sets up the brabo choke!!! Skelly is trying to defend!!! The referee steps in and stops the fight!!!

SEPTEMBER 2016 – VS CHRIS GRUETZMACHER

RESULT – WON VIA 2ND RD SUB CHOKE

Analysis
Rd 1 – Skelly takes the outside. Straight right just misses. CG wanting to clinch. Straights land, nice uppercut, and a knee land for Skelly. Skelly shoots, takes CG to the fence, He has 1 underhook in. Short elbow lands. Skelly controlling. Another short elbow and they break. Uppercut misses. Counter left lands for CG. Skelly changes levels and shoots a double, gets it. CG defending position with wrist control. Skelly trying to get to the back. He doesn’t but controls CG for the remainder. 10 – 9/8 Skelly.
Rd 2 – CG comes forward, pressuring, lands a couple short pinches. Skelly lands a god straight right. They exchange punches. Straight right lands for Skelly and again. CG continues to walk forward. Skelly changes levels and gets the Takedown. He has the back. CG doesn’t seem to know how to defends off his back, as Skelly easily sinks in the choke.

SEPTEMBER 2016 – VS MAXIMO BLANCO

RESULT – WON VIA 1ST RD ANACONDA CHOKE

Analysis
Rd 1 – Oh my Skelly’s put him to sleep in 19 seconds! Skelly runs at him and throws a jumping push kick to the chest that floors Blanco. He then goes for a guillotine and transitions to an Anaconda. Vicious.

MARCH 2016 – VS DARREN ELKINS

RESULT – LOST VIA UN DEC

Analysis
Rd 1 – Both fighters trying to establish a jab, but not long before Skelly is swinging and tagging Elkins. Elkins pressures him against the cage, pressing his head into Skelly and throwing punches. They spate. Skelly with great power counter hooks. They clinch. Elkins gets the trip and is on top, Skelly goes for leg lock. Elkins fights it off, but Skelly goes for it again. No luck for Skelly and they’re standing. Elkins really reaching with his punches, open for counters. Uppercuts in the clinch for Elkins. Skelly looking to tuck his chin and swing. Good knees to the body from both men.
Rd 2 – Elkins swinging big and pressuring Skelly. Elkins landing more now. Elkins gets double unders against the cage and able to get a slam takedown. Skelly again with a leg attack. Elkins spins and gets in Skellys guard. Elkins posturing and throwing. Elkins moves to side. Excellent pressure and control by Elkins. This is dominant.
Rd 3 – Elkins coming forward, lands a goo d body kick. Elkins gets behind Skelly and drags him to the ground. Elkins overwhelming Skelly. Skelly leaves himself very exposed when he throws punches. Elkins with another takedown. They stand back up and its Skelly looking for a takedown, no chance. Skelly swinging the best he can. Dominant grinding win for Elkins.

NOVEMBER 2015- VS EDMILSON SOUZA

RESULT – WON VIA 2ND RD RNC

Analysis
Rd 1 – Souza with the early pressure. Skelly shoots in for a single leg, Edmilson showing good balance, but eventually Skelly able to drag him to the mat. Skelly passes to side control. Skelly not inflicting too much damage, Skelly looking for darth choke. Edmilson gets free. Edmilson rocks and drops Skelly with a left hook. Edmilson goes in to finish, but Skelly wraps him up in a leg lock. They stand briefly, Souza pressing, Big shot again looks to hurt Skelly.
Rd 2 – Skelly with the takedown attempt that Edmilson stops and is able to get into half guard and drop some bombs. Skelly counters with a leg lock. They’re back up. Skelly looking sloppy as Edmilson lands with the cleaner striking. Skelly clinches against the cage and takes Edmilsons back, before rolling with him to the floor and locking in a rear naked choke.

FEBRUARY 2015 – VS JIM ALERS

RESULT – WON VIA 2ND RD TKO

Analysis
Alers 1st fight after 10 months out. Rd 1 – Skelly showing improved boxing skills. Throwing big overhand right Alers catches the leg kick and takes Skelly to the mate. Alers looking for leg lock. Skelly escapes and now he looks for a leg lock. And they’re up. Feeding each other left hooks. Skelly looks to have stunned Alers. Skelly shoots for a single. Alers stops and reverses. Zero head movement from both fighters.
Rd 2 – Alers throwing leg kicks. Nice lead uppercut from Skelly followed by an overhand right. Alers land a knee in the clinch. Skelly non stop with the overhand right, Alers rocked. Skelly for some reason is trying to take Alers down. Skelly unsuccessful. Both guys look flat footed. Skelly looking fatigued. Another single leg attempt for Skelly. Trying to switch to double. Skelly unsuccessful. Straights land for Skelly, big overhand, Knee to the body in the clinch, more punches, knee to the head, down goes Alers!.
